Greek Mountain Tea is here!

Greek Mountain Tea is here!

We're very excited to have our new Greek tea arrive in the office this week. What is there not to like about this brew of naturally caffeine free herbs. Literally 'tea from the mountains', the age old tradition of brewing plants growing 3000 feet above sea level has a wonderful history as well as proven health benefits. Detoxifying, calming, restful  - all of this in a warm cup of the Mediterranean!

There is also recent research into the benefits of Greek Mountain Tea with the treatment of Alzeimer's Disease. Professor of Neurology Jens Pahnke based at the University of Oslo specalises in the effect of medicinal plants in the treatment of the disease and has discovered that the anti-inflammatory benefits of the tea appear to indicate success in slowing the progress of Alzeimer's and potentially improving the condition.

We have chosen to stock the Great Taste Award winning Golden Peaks which is a blend of mountain tea, rosemary and thyme along with the bio tisane blend which is being renamed as Distant Waves, hand blended from linden, sage and melissa.

The names reflect everything that can be seen and heard around the farm in Chalkidiki and to give consumers a hint about the properties of the herbs and use of the blends.

We would love to hear what you think so get in touch via twitter (@foodhq1) or our facebook page!

Also from the same company are our new range of dried Greek herbs: oregano, sage, rosemary and thyme. Bringing the authentic taste of Greece to your kitchen, these attractively designed packs of quality dried herbs smell, look and taste delicious.
